Dupioni Silk - Preorder

Dupioni Silk, also known as Dupioni Silk, is a handwoven fabric cherished for its crisp texture and unique slubbed appearance. It is created by weaving together fine silk threads, with naturally occurring irregularities in the yarn giving it its distinctive, slightly rough finish. These slubs are a hallmark of Dupioni Silk, adding character and charm to the fabric.

The price is by the meter.

The turnaround time for dyeing is 5–6 weeks, and for printing, it is 6–8 weeks.

To select a color, simply choose a shade from our color chart. For example, if you select Color 55, a beige shade, we will dye your fabric in that color.

We work with a variety of fabric bases, and each one absorbs dye differently. While we strive for consistency, slight color variations may occur between batches. For example, if you order Crepe Silk in grey, the shade may differ slightly in a future batch.

We accept dyeing orders as small as 1 meter. You can also choose the same color for different fabric bases or select a different color for each base.

We always do our best to match the colors as closely as possible, but since the fabrics are hand-dyed, small differences can occur. These variations are a natural part of the hand-dyeing process and add to the charm and uniqueness of the fabric. Rest assured, even if there’s a difference, the new shade will still be very close to the original.

If you’re looking for a specific color that isn’t available in our shade chart, we’re happy to create a custom dye for you. To help us achieve the best match, please send us a small cutting of the fabric with the desired color.
